Massage creams are widely available to just about anyone in the market and can be bought at different health food stores or retail chains. It can be a lot more cheaper and not to mention more satisfying to make your own massage cream to use. The creams are used for more of a carrier base when it comes to the essential oils used during a massage, but they can be used on their own. Massage creams tend to have a thicker tendency than the oils or the lotions, making for a longer lasting effect on the body. The first step to making your very own massage cream is, to melt ¾ cup apricot oil along with ½ of an oz. of grated beeswax. This will need to be done by using a double boiler on your stove or in a microwavable safe bowl in the microwave. If you are using the microwave, heat both on high for around 2 minutes or just until melted. Remove the melted mixture so it can cool.

After the mixture has cooled, add 1/3 cup of aloe vera along with 2/3 cups of rosewater. You can also use orange water or distilled water, which ever you may happen to have. Add all of the ingredients to a clean blender. You will need to blend the ingredients together at a very high speed for just one timed minute. Once blended, the mixture should have a thick consistency.

You will need to take a spoon and remove the mixture from the blender. Place it into ant air tight container. Take the time to quickly add 6-8 drops of an essential oil to make your cream a certain frangrant scent. Remember to keep in mind that each scent has a different effect that is made on the body and the mind. You may want to consult with an essential oils reference guide before just choosing one. Store the cream in the air tight container and make sure to restore after use. You may consider using a nice bottle to store the massage cream for each use.
