For many professional massage therapists and bodyworkers, as well as their clients, there is a sense of appreciation for those products that not only serve their purpose well, but also do no harm, whether direct or indirect, to the people using the product or to the planet. It is this sense of appreciation, and perhaps harmony with one's values, that often drives professional massage therapists and bodyworkers to seek out all natural, organic and planet-friendly products for their practices.

One such "tool of the trade" is massage cream—a popular lubricant known for its versatile ability to provide both friction and glide, so that practitioners may choose to work deeply on one particular area of the body or glide over larger areas as they see fit. It is not hard to understand why it might be important for professional massage therapists and bodyworkers to acquire a massage cream that is in harmony with their values, in terms of being all natural, organic and planet-friendly.

After all, massage cream is one of the few items that comes even closer to the client than the practitioner's own healing hands. In addition, massage creams can be absorbed by the skin of both the client and massage therapist or bodyworker, so it is crucial to know what kind of ingredients the massage cream contains, in order to avoid any possible adverse or unknown effects.

However, searching for a massage cream that meets the criteria of being all natural, organic and planet-friendly can

be somewhat complex. It may be simpler for massage therapists and bodyworkers to break their search for a suitable massage cream into pieces, and then prioritize each piece. For a large number of practitioners, knowing that the ingredients a massage cream contains are all natural and organic—with no synthetic or artificial components—will likely be at the top of the priority list.

In order to find such a massage cream, massage therapists and bodyworkers are encouraged to study the label and ingredient list for each potential massage cream candidate. First of all, look to see if the massage cream is labeled "organic." This one requirement may narrow your search for a massage cream down right off the bat.

Once you have your grouping of organic massage cream candidates, turn your attention to the ingredient list for each massage cream. If you are not sure what a certain ingredient on the list is, then do a bit of online research about that ingredient or call the manufacturer of the massage cream and ask. Sometimes ingredients that may sound like chemicals or synthetic ingredients are actually quite natural, so do not cross a promising massage cream off your list until you have done the necessary research.

As for finding a massage cream that is processed and manufactured in a planet-friendly manner, this might require digging a bit deeper. Start with the packaging, and see what it is made out of and whether or not it is biodegradable or recyclable.
