Trim fingernails and shape with a nail file, for these metal nail files or emery boards are generally used, but professional manicurists usually use fine glass files. to file properly, its’ necessary to start with the file at the outer edge of the nail, and move towards the center. Nail filing should not be done in a saw-like motion.
3. Soak hands in water and apply cream, oil or chemical cuticle remover to remove cuticles. the cuticles usually get pushed back with a cuticle pusher, for which metal cuticle pushers can be used, but they may damage the fingernails. Though its best to use orangewood cuticle pusher.
4. Polish the fingernails with a polishing board/nail buffers. These polishing boards are made up of soft foam layer with a polishing surface.
5. Nail polish is applied by professionals with at least one layer of clear nail polish. in case of a colored nail polish, at least 3 layers are considered appropriate, these include base coat, color coat, and a top coat. Clear nail polish can be used in place of a base coat and top coat.
