The Pedicure Procedure | hauntsearchmagazine.com

Pedicure is a simple cosmetic procedure done on your toenails and your feet. With the right tools and procedure, there is nothing to worry about.

The pedicure procedure:

  1. soak both feet in antiseptic foot soak for about 10 minutes on a clean foot bath;
  2. dry thoroughly one foot then remove any old nail polish;
  3. cut or clip nails straight across;
  4. shape nails by filing across towards the tip from each side, do not create a curved pattern, do not take the sides to low, as this causes ingrown;
  5. apply cuticle massage cream and remove any hard skin with callous file;
  6. apply exfoliating massage cream;

Repeat the procedure on the other foot. Then:

  1. apply cuticle remover;
  2. push-back cuticles gently with a hoof stick;
  3. remove dead tissue and loose tissue;
  4. wrap foot in a dry clean towel;

Repeat on other foot.

Finally, massage both feet with a foot cream and wipe over nails with nail polish remover to remove any cream from nails. Use toe dividers if polishing is requested and buff nails to a high shine.
